How to have confidence in themselves? In the previous article, we talked about self-confidence and how life is different between those who do not have it and those who have it.
We were saying that in terms of believing in yourself, you can create a two dynamics, two circles:
- A circle virtuousThe more you have confidence in yourself the better you act, the more and better you act the more you increase confidence in your abilities, and so it goes better and better
- A circle vicious: the less you have confidence in yourself the less you act or act badly, the less you act the more you think you can do less, and so it's always worse, and in some cases you get up to psychological disorders
It sounds like you can't get out of it… but you can, you can!
Having self-confidence: how to break the vicious circle
It's obvious that if a person who doesn't believe in himself starts to do some thing too big and difficult risk failing miserably.
If you fail this failure does nothing more than Reinforce his belief that he is worthless (if you are talking about women will increase the fear of rejection and the fear of ruining everything)
So how to do?
Start with something small and doable. Start doing something doable that will allow you to succeed.
This will make you gain skills and self-confidence, and that's when the vicious cycle starts to break, it starts to break and Is replaced by a virtuous circle.
You want an example?
Ok, let's do a practical example…
Let's say you've just started a job as a sales rep and at first you struggle, really struggle, and you can't even close one contract.
It's obvious that you lose confidence in yourself this way, and others feel it, your prospects feel it all and:
If you don't believe in yourself, no one will do it for you
What to do then?
Start with the simplest thing, maybe it's a series of clients that in theory are easier to deal with. Do this study and then take action, from there start building your virtuous circle.
This is about confidence in your ability in a particular field, but how to have confidence in themselves in general?
A structured path to self-confidence
To boost your confidence and self-assurance across the board, I've created a structured path.
Why structured?
Because in a path there are several steps to do, several stages, what is at the beginning makes sense that it is done at the beginning, what is in the middle in the middle, and what is at the end serves in closing path.
Often people learn techniques from all over the place and put them together, but to maximize the effect is better to use the techniques at the right time of a path of change.
Not to do it would be like wanting to build something starting from the roof and ending with the foundation.
Would you like to live in a house built like this?
Isn't it better to do things properly when it comes to something as important as having confidence in yourself?
If you accept the challenge you'll find a path to all-around better self-confidence in all areas of life.
